The Coolest Summer They'll Never Stop Talking About.
Six-week studio sessions where kids ages 6โ14 learn to pop-lock, freestyle, and own the stage. Bass in the walls. Sneakers on the floor. Every body moving like gravity is optional.

Six Weeks, Six Styles
Each week unlocks a new chapter of hip-hop culture
Foundations
Rhythm, counting eights, basic footwork, and learning to listen to the beat before you move to it.
Breaking Basics
Top rock, six-step, freezes. The OG building blocks that started it all in the Bronx in 1973.
Popping & Locking
Hit the beat with your body. Muscle isolation, wrist rolls, and that satisfying pop that makes everyone go "ohhh."
Choreography
Learning to tell a story through a group routine. Eight-count phrases, formations, and cleaning it up.
Freestyle Lab
No routine. Just you, the beat, and whatever comes out. The most important week for building creative confidence.
Showcase Prep
Polish the full-length routine. Stage presence, crowd energy, and the walk-out that makes parents cry good tears.
A Day at Groove
Monday through Friday, 9amโ4pm (Extended care 7:30โ6pm available)
Drop-In Warmup
Free movement to a curated playlist while kids arrive. No pressure, just vibes and getting comfortable in the space.
Circle Time
Group stretch, the day's goals, and a quick culture lesson โ today's track, the artist, the story behind the move.
Skill Block 1
Focused technique work with your age group. Six-year-olds run foundations; twelve-year-olds drill choreo.
Lunch + Free Play
Bring your own lunch. The studio stays open for anyone who wants to keep practicing or just vibe.
Skill Block 2
Cross-age freestyle circle where the little ones learn from the big ones and the big ones remember why it's fun.
Cool-Down & Debrief
Stretch, share one thing you learned, and get hyped for tomorrow. Parents pick up at 4pm.
Your Instructors
Professional dancers who still remember what it felt like to be 8
Marcus "Rewind" Delgado
15 years teaching, former Battle of the Year competitor. Runs Foundations and Breaking. Speaks six-year-old fluently.
Aaliyah Chen
Popping specialist trained in LA, now teaching in Chicago. Her isolation workshops have a 3-month waitlist for adults. Kids get her all summer.
Jordan "JD" Williams
Choreographer for two regional youth dance companies. Runs the Freestyle Lab and Showcase Prep weeks with zero script and full trust.
Priya Nair
Dance education major, second summer with Groove. The kids' favorite because she actually gets in the circle and loses.
The Showcase
August 22nd, 6pm โ every family invited, no ticket needed
Full-Length Performance
Each age group performs their week-six routine on a real stage with real lights. Not a recital โ a show.
Open Cipher
After the routines, the floor opens for anyone who wants to step in. Parents included. We've seen some things.
Groove Honors
Most Improved, Best Freeze, Crowd Favorite, and the Marcus Delgado Award for a kid who made everyone better.
Digital Highlight Reel
Every family gets a 90-second video of their kid's best moments, edited and scored. Delivered within a week.
Real Dancers.
Real Teachers.
Not counselors who took a workshop โ professionals who still remember what it felt like to be 8 years old and terrified to step in the circle.

Marcus "Rewind" Delgado
Head Instructor
Former Battle of the Year competitor turned full-time youth educator. Marcus built Groove's curriculum from scratch in 2021. His rule: if a six-year-old can't do it, we haven't broken it down enough.

Aaliyah Chen
Popping Specialist
Trained in the LA underground scene, now based in Chicago. Her isolation workshops have a three-month waitlist for adults. Kids get her all summer, and they're the lucky ones.

Jordan "JD" Williams
Choreographer
Choreographer for two regional youth dance companies. Runs the Freestyle Lab with zero script and full trust. His showcase routines have gotten standing ovations from parents who didn't even bring tissues.
Pick Their Week(s)

They Said What They Said.
My daughter cried on the last day โ not because she was sad, but because she didn't want to stop. She's been practicing freezes on the kitchen floor every morning since.
